RARE Large Vintage Formal Photographer Studio Baby Picture, Young African American Baby, Greenwood, Mississippi, c.1940-50, "PEPPER", "Daughter of John McCullough"DESCRIPTION: Very rare original posed studio vintage photo of a little African American baby. Very early, c.1940-50. All details shown in my pictures. The photo is mounted in a period matte folder. Hand written identification of baby, "PEPPER" shown on the picture. She appears to be about 18 months old. Scans show it all..VERY CUTE!!A large photo, and MEASURES 8" x 10" EACH. This came with a collection of several early, antique photos of African American subjects. Probably from the same antique album and collection of vintage family photos. Some were cabinet photos, identified with photographer names, and all from various towns in Mississippi, including GREENWOOD, MISSISSIPPI and HOLLY SPRINGS, MISSISSIPPI photographers. The subject of this one may not have lived in Greenwood, but probably the owner or relative or friend who received it likely lived nearby. Good condition overall. This would be a great addition to a collection or would look great framed. This is a great gift for the antique photo collectors in your family. Great looking, rare early photo OF A LITTLE GIRL. Good early, state-identified photos of African Americans are very hard to find, ESPECIALLY FOR AN IDENTIFIED LITTLE GIRL!! Great addition to any display or collection!!!Please see my auction list for other interesting African American photos!! SHIPPING TERMS:Buyer pays $7.50 shipping in the US.
