[PHOTOGRAPHS, AFRICAN-AMERICANS, JIM-CROW ERA, REAL PHOTO POST CARD] On offer here is an ORIGINAL RPPC PHOTOGRAPH OF 3 MEN WHO ARE LIKELY COAL MINERS. The photo measures 3.375 in x 5.375 in. The postcard is in excellent condition. The RPPC having the 'AZO' designator with four squares dates the RPPC to between 1926 - 1944. The men shown are standing next to a wheelbarrow of coal and one is holding an oil can and another with a shovel. They also could be the 'actual' players shown in the album or related to the players in the other images we have. Given the ancestors of the album came from people originating from Arkadelphia, Arkansas (or Clark County generally), we are assuming this is a strong possibility for the photo. The photo postcard came from a photo album with people who descended from relatives who originated in Arkansas. (this is related to the two other lots we have that came from the similar albums as the Montana African-American Baseball / Football images we have on offer)Please email any questions -
