This is a rare October 31st, 1957 Gold Cover playbill from the PREMIERE PERFORMANCE of the Original Broadway production of the HAROLD ARLEN, E. Y. HARBURG and FRED SAIDY musical comedy "JAMAICA" which played the Imperial Theatre in New York City. (The production opened October 31st, 1957 and ran for 555 performances.) ..... The musical starred LENA HORNE and RICARDO MONTALBAN and featured JOSEPHINE PREMICE, JOE ADAMS, ERIK RHODES, OSSIE DAVIS and ADELAIDE HALL. The lead dancers were ALVIN AILEY and CHRISTYNE LAWSON ..... CREDITS: Book by E. Y. CONDITION: With the exception of light surface marks on the back cover, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
