For sale is a good large format print of an African-American city street scene by listed artist James Groody. The print is about 24 inches wide by 19 1/8 inches tall. The print is done in black, with buildings, signs and cars on the left, and two street hockey player on roller skates and a boy on a bicycle on the right. It is number 7 / 49 in pencil at the lower left and is signed in the lower right. Condition on the picture is fair. There is some foxing at the upper left, visible on both sides of the paper, and some crumpling at the edges and corners. Still a striking piece of mid-century African-American art!
