George Washington Carver Bust, Peanut Scientist, Diamond, MO Postcard
He was an agricultural scientist and inventor who developed hundreds of products using peanuts, sweet potatoes, and soybeans. Some of the products were Worcestershire Sauce, cooking and salad oils, cosmetics, soaps, and wood stain. It was his idea to practice crop rotation and in 1894 he became the first African American to earn a Bachelor of Science degree. The card is in good condition, some dings, aging on the back, with wear on the corners.
