ORIGINAL 'HAWAI'I BLACK PAGES 1992 EDTION - HAWAI'I'S NETWORKING DIRECTORY OF AFRICAN AMERICAN BUSINESSES PROFESSIONALS AND ORGANIZATIONS' PUBLISHED BY RAINBOW BRIDGE CONSULTANTSThis is a wonderful original. This is one of those things I never would have expected to purchase in the place I did. Things like this make me wonder how they got to the mainland. This directory as well as the Hawaii Women's Directory I am also offering come from a collection where they were most likely picked up when the family went to Hawaii on vacation in the early 1990s. I have done a lot of research and couldnt find any other examples except in institutions. Worldcat shows NYPL and Hawaii Library and a couple other libraries but that is it. These look as though they were produced to be thrown out when a new year came out. I also think that there were not a huge amount of them published as I am not sure how many of these would have been in demand in Hawaii at the time. The premier edition of this was in 1990 and my understanding is that they were only produced for a few years. And I cant find any other examples of any of the years. 22 pages stapled together within soft cover. Excellent as printed condition. Really a wonderful piece of Hawaii history as well as African American history. A must have for any collector.
